CELEBRATION OF MONA’S LIFE: 3 ~ 5 P.M. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Pulliam Funeral Home of Oblong.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong.  Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.

Mona Ann Leichty, 80, Casey, IL. formerly of Robinson, Il. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 19, 2014.  She was residing at the Casey Health Center in Casey, IL.

Mona was born on December 13, 1933 in Robinson, IL. and was the daughter of Clyde Dollahan and Daisy (Rogers) Dollahan.  On December 22, 1951 she married Donald G. “Don” Leichty, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2008.

Mona was along time employee of the Robinson Roots Department Store and the Robinson First National Bank.  She was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1951 and a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson, IL.  Mona was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed knitting, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and traveling.  She was very family oriented and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mona is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Debbie Leichty of Casey, IL. and Greg and Heather Leichty of St. Joseph, IL.; six grandchildren: Jeff and Jessica Leichty of Washington, IL., Andy and Erin Leichty of Casey, IL., Dustin Leichty and Lacey Leichty of Champaign, IL.; and James Leichty and Molly Leichty of St. Joseph, IL.; three great grandchildren Addison “Addi”, Benjamin and Emma Leichty of Casey, IL. a brother and sister-in-law Roger and Ellen Dollahan of Robisnon, IL.; a sister Judy McIntosh of Littleton, CO.; and niees and nephews.

Preceding Mona in death were her parents; husband Don Leichty and a grandson Jason Leichty.
